Dalhousie is one of the famous hill stations in India. Located in Himachal Pradesh it is known for its old world charm. Dalhousie town is situated on five small hills on the foothills of the dhauladhar ranges and has lots of places to see. Beautiful snow capped mountains and picturesque sunsets make Dalhousie a famous hill station for both Indian and international tourists.
Dalhousie, also known as walker’s paradise is an ideal destination for wellness and relaxation. It is one of the untouched spots in Himachal Pradesh that still retains the charm and aura of the old times. Dalhousie is now well connected to places like Pathankot which is the nearest railway station and has an airport as well. Dalhousie is 80 Kms from Pathankot and accessible by road. Dalhousie is also known for its thick forest cover as well as its proximity to Khajjiar which is also well known as Mini Switzerland. Dalhousie serves as a gateway to the Chamba Valley, which is well known for its temples and handicrafts.

Places to Visit while in Dalhousie:
Bakrota Hills: The fascinating Bakrota Hills provides one of the best walks in Himachal offering one of the best views of surrounding mountains and snow clad mountain ranges. A walk in the evening can provide some of the most amazing sun sets.
Kalatop Wild Life Reserve: It is a perfect spot for a small picnic. The view of the mountain ranges is breathtaking. Many of bollywood movies like 1942 a love story have been shot here. Kalatop is a good place to relax and provides peaceful surrounding covered with dense forest overlooking to snow clad mountain ranges.
Khajjiar: Also known popularly as "Mini Switzerland" is a very picturesque spot. It is surrounded by thick forest. It is easily approachable from the resort and provides lovely walks and breathtaking view of dense forest and snow clad distant mountain ranges.
Chamba: Located on the banks of River Ravi, Chamba is a good spot to spend a day while exploring ancient temples around Chamba City. Chamba Chaugan, a large ground covered with thick grass, is a good place to relax while experiencing the refreshing winds of Chamba valley. Chamba is also called The valley of milk and honey and is known for its streams, meadows, temples, paintings, rumal ( handkerchief ) and lakes.
St Johns Church: Located in Ghandhi Chownk, it is a protestant church built in 1863. Old architecture reminds of the british Raj days.
Sacred Heart Convent School, Dalhousie: one of the landmark education hubs located in Dalhousie is famous for its british architecture as much as it is for the quality of education.
